VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT - HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
Muthaiga Country Club is the leading exclusive Private Members Club located in the Heart of Nairobi. We are looking for a strategic and visionary Human Resources Director.
The Role
Reporting to the Club Secretary/CEO, the Human Resources Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management oversight of the Human Resource function aligned to the Club’s practices and objectives that will result into an employee-oriented high-performance culture, emphasizing on quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned to the business objectives.
- Implementing and regularly reviewing the Human Resource policies and procedures and measuring the results against standards.
- Providing insight on leadership and development programmes to strengthen business results.
- Championing culture transformation initiatives in the Club.
- Managing the full recruitment cycle.
- Managing the training plan according to the Club’s policies and strategy.
- Putting in place succession planning strategies.
- Implementing effective reward management and remuneration policies.
- Conducting risk assessment and analysis of people-related issues.
- Developing and implementing consistent and strategic approach to talent management processes.
- Leading the performance management process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in all fields of HR, with the last 7 years in management level in the hospitality industry.
- Must be a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or holder of a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution.
- Must be a full member with a valid practicing licence from the Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM).
- HR business partner with business acumen.

- Use of Microsoft Office and payroll systems;
- Good leadership and presentation skills; and
- Ability to engage at all levels within and outside of the organization;
